Lip Fillers

These work in a similar principle to dermal fillers by increasing the volume of the area just under the skin. As with dermal fillers, this treatment can take place on the same day as the consultation, and the effects usually last 6-18 months.

The effects decrease over time, and your lips will revert to their old shape after around 12 months. This varies from person to person, depending on how long your body takes to breakdown the molecules. If you are looking for treatment for lip filler in St Helens or Manchester, Aesthetics by Allied is a great place to come.

Will it hurt?

For all our cosmetics procedures you can choose to have anaesthetic cream applied prior to being injected, which numbs any pain. It will naturally feel uncomfortable or sore for some time after though.

Are lip fillers permanent?

No, usually they last between 6 and 18 months. This varies from person to person and depends on how long your body takes to break down the hyaluronic acid molecules. If you are not happy with the results, you can have it dissolved using hyaluronidase.

What risks are there?

Your practitioner will discuss the risks associated. The main risk is associated with receiving these treatments improperly, by a poorly trained practitioner. Allergic reactions or infections from such practitioners are rare, but not unknown. More commonly, the result may not be what you desire, or it may be uneven. With a fully trained practitioner these risks are minimised.
